Q: What's up with the color change on my Brazilian Hardwoods? How can I fix it?
A:Brazilian Cherry hardwood floors, like other hardwood floors, are going to change in color over time. There's no getting around that. The deepening of the tone is part of the character that comes in the aging process of this exotic species. Exposure to sunlight does speed up this process. You may notice when lifting the corner of an area rug, the color of the wood underneath is lighter than the wood that was left bare. To even up the tones, you may consider removing the rug to allow the lighter color to eventually deepen to match the darker tone.
